Here's something that might just revolutionize your hiring game.

Ready for this?

Many hiring managers are tossing aside the "must have X years in Y industry" rule and hiring amazing talent anyway. Shocking, right?

Well, not really, and here's why:

They're spotting gold in transferable skills, a great work ethic, and tons of potential.

Now, I can hear some of you gasping, "But what about industry experience?"

Here’s the thing: People can absolutely crush it in a new field. They just need someone to believe in them and give them a shot. Simple if you ask me.

So, here's my challenge to you:

Be THAT leader.

The one who:

·  Takes a chance on potential

·  Helps newbies flourish

·  Sees the diamond in the rough

In my book (and trust me, I've seen a lot in my HR adventures), finding someone who:

·  Vibes with your culture

·  Is hungry to learn (hello, coachability!)

·  Really gets what you're trying to achieve

...trumps ticking all those job description boxes ANY day of the week!

Think about it - some of the most successful career pivots happened because someone saw potential where others saw gaps. Remember when Vera Wang entered fashion at 40? Or when Jeff Bezos left a cushy finance job to sell books online?

(spoiler alert: that worked out pretty well for him!)

Now, I'm not saying throw caution to the wind. But maybe it's time to:

1.    Rethink those "requirements" in your job posts

2.    Look for passion and potential in interviews

3.    Create opportunities for newcomers to shine

Remember, every industry expert was once a newbie (I bet you were too). By taking a chance on fresh talent, you're not just filling a role - you're potentially changing someone's life AND injecting new energy into your team.

So, what do you think? Are you ready to be a champion for potential? Have you ever taken a chance on someone and watched them soar?

Drop me a comment - I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Let's shake up hiring together and create some amazing success stories!
